There is no clear indication from USCIS regarding how long you have to stay to prove your intent. Some say even the very next day you can move on to a different company, some would like to be cautious and would like to wait for 6+ months before moving to another company.
If the company is not willing to pay you when you are on 'bench' then get the information in writing for future and move on. If you do not want to raise a red flag during citizenship application, this will help you at that time.

Very Interesting set of links. We need to respond to each of these journalists thanking for any positive coverage but also highlighting the specific issues that is causign the backlog (7% per country limit and lack of visa recapture). We need to request that attention be paid to this aspect and how removal of per-country limit is neccessary to eliminate the greencard backlogs (and that visa recapture will at least provide limited relief). Most of such articles praise high-skilled immigrants but do not get to the root of the issue and the possible solutions. We need some folks to help with this IV media outreach. Wondering whether you would take a decision just based on what we amateurs have to say. At least ask this question on the "free question to attorney thread" if you are looking for an answer you can trust.
Ultimately I guess "same and similar" is a totally gray area. I donot know whether there are some guidelines for the adjudicators but that phrase can be as broadly or narrowly interpreted as the IO wants it to be.
I am currently working as a Programmer Analyst on EB3 and Using my EAD through 485.
I plan to convert to a new postition that of Senior Applications Developer where the job duties will be atleast 50% different from my existing position
But here is the problem If i am using my EAd obtained from Eb3 program Analyst position then can I work on another position which is 50% different from my existing position as per AC21 rules

You can create a new account with a new email address and then use that to point to the same case numbers. This would be the best approach if you don't have the contact numbers.

When our original APs arrived last year in October they had a expiration date of September 28, 2008. But then we traveled to India and came back on AP. Now stamped AP says
Paroled until 02 Jan 2009
My question is which expiration date should use for renewal purposes and apply the 120 day rule.

In my case, I used AP to enter US last year on oct 22 08. I-94 has a date of oct 21 09 so does the parole stamp. My AP has expired in Jan 09. I am NOT planing to go out.
My question is what do I have to do after I-94 date of oct 21 09 is past. Will it make me out of status?

receiving RFE during 485 stage has become more of a common thing. Dont worry about it. Once you get the letter, prepare a response with the right evidence with the help of the attorney, and you should be fine.

I think you need to apply for a labour certification a year before a completion of 6 year of H1 period for 7th year extension but in perm you get labour certified within 2 months. Even if you start now you can get your labour and I140 (in premium processing) done before DEC. After then you can leave back to home country and still continue the process as future emplyoment.
I don't know if you become eligible for 7th year extension.

I've A# (9 digit.. 099xx for primary and 088xx for dependent)... PD is blank.. Guess most of people getting receipts in June/July had it blank... Don't know why...
