Let me attempt to translate the intention there:
If iOS 5 has enough new features, it will be worth giving up some of these jailbreak features that I really like. That being said, I hope that I don't have to make a choice between iOS 5, and a jailbreak for too long.

is it me or does the opening and closing of applications and jus the whole moving around of the ios on that iphone look really faster than the ios on iphone 4. Could it be powered with the new rumoured A5 chip thats going into the iphone 5?

So im wondering while i wait for my new imac what your idle/load temps are
Would be super if you wrote which imac you have aswell.
Wondering how much the 95w cpu does to the temp in the imac.
Would love to hear idle/load gpu temps aswell :)
RealTemp - Windows 7 - CPU hits 70C max on gaming.
Haven't checked my GPU temps but they aren't high either.
System doesn't even ramp its fans when gaming.
In OSX - CPU idles at 36C, GPU idles at 46C from iStatPro. I don't do much on OSX, a Hulu flash video seems to peg the CPU at 2-10%...

I think it's a little early to start worrying about PPC support being dropped entirely. I see this more as an exception than an oncoming norm.

Why can't they just make a JACK connector, with 4 wires ... Wake me up when it will be possible to supply data at high speed and enough power through 4 cables with a jack connector.

Cah! It is the people who asked who should be embarrassed.
I got there about 5 and about half-way around the block which was good enough to snag a shirt, keyboard and Leopard by about 6.15.
My main purpose in commenting though is to say congrats to Apple on the management of the event, especially the policing of the queue. It was good to see they dealt with pushing in because, let's face it, they get the same money whether you push or not.
(one machine Leoparded, two to go!)
I agree with you there. I too thought they handled the queue very well and very professional. Well done Regent Street! Plus, well done to all the staff inside, seeing that armada of people constantly coming in couldn't be easy to face!

So, I picked one up the other day. Trying to find the "sweet spot" is really annoying. I'm assuming your supposed to keep adjusting the 3DS and your head until you don't see two images anymore, and that's the so-called sweet spot?
Honestly, I don't really see that much of a difference. There's a little more depth to with 3D effect (but it's not in your face like a 3D ride at Disney World or like Avatar where stuff was floating in the air). The AR games are neat except they require a cardboard card (Really Nintendo? Wasn't this idea a huge failure with Animal Crossing e-Reader on the GameCube?)
Pilotwings is also pretty terrible. I can't wait for the Virtual Console to launch. I'm glad Super Mario Land will be a launch title. Hopefully, Nintendo will iron out the 3DS kinks in time.

Not sure about the mini specifically, but all Macs dating back to G3 PowerBooks (and probably earlier) have this capability, so I don't know why Apple would disable this in any of its newer offerings.

I remember reading either here or on Appleinsider that if this goes well enough, they can use this chip to replace batteries. The thing with that is, if we take away the battery, where does the original power come from?
From a heat source such as a butane flame or other combustion.
We're talking two different applications here
1) recover some waste heat from the CPU back to electricity
2) generate electricity by applying a much higher heat source to one side of the thing - as a potential replacemenmt for batteries, fuel cells, etc.

Since it seems pretty likely that we will be a government shutdown 2011 might as well start a thread about it.

it seems pretty clear the Tea Partiers do not want to compromise at all. They not only want 33-50bill in cuts but they want to choose were they come from.
I was listening to the new last night and instead of logical choices in cuts they wanted to go after education, Medicare and things that help the core.
refused to say cut money out of oil subsidy and tighten the ropes on agriculture subsidy.
looks like to me the Tea partiers are showing their true colors when that is what they really want.
Either way figure this thread is going to pop up.
As for students hope you have filed your FASFA by now and those who are trying to get Refunds hope you taxes are down.
As for those who have to pay some taxes a shut down could help you because it will take them longer to process the payment so you hold on to your interested longer. remember it has to be post marked by the 18th no matter what.

The height was my way of not being seen while taking the photo. I could have taken it at the same level they were, but I'm almost sure they'd have seen me doing it. If I hadn't found the higher vantage point I probably wouldn't have taken a picture of them. I'm glad I did and that it is well received (so far). :)
