If we force people to fill profile, they start filling fake details.
How do we make people update their profiles with real details?
I think members can help in this task. Whenever you see a member with junk details, urge that person to update the profile to be taken seriously.

I filed I-485 in Nov. 2007 and waiting.... :(
Problem is I noticed that name of my father in my passport is reversed example it shows <lastName> then <FirstName>.
But in my birth certificate it is vice versa <FirstName> then <lastName>....
I got the RFE in July 2009 for my date of birth certificate which I have provided to USCIS mentioning father name as in my birth certificate i.e. <FirstName> then <lastName>.
I renewed my passport in April 2010 and corrected father name, but in all the old forms before RFE, my father name shows as <lastName> then <FirstName>.
Will it be issue, I am frustrated and worried on what to do, is it going to have major impact on my GC processing as all the forms I have submitted to USCIS and my passport have my father name as <lastName> then
<FirstName>.
Please suggest I am very worried...

Yesterday my employer received notice that my co-workers I-140 was denied and when she went home she received denial notice for her I-485 too. She filed EB2 concurrent.

My lawyer said that if I dont have my other I-140 approved, my I-485 would be denied too..since I have that, she is saying that my AOS will continue to be active based on the other I-140...i want to confirm that whether its true and how can I verify that?

what am I missing here? other than the hassle of getting paper copies filled out/ printed and the advantage of getting a refund a few weeks earlier, what is the advantage of e-filing?

As far as I know We need only Employment offer letter. And the Designation should match your PERM Labor Certificate.

Infopass would not hurt.....so just take Infopass to ease ur mind. Explain to the IO ur exact situation & ask them to confirm if ur 485 is ok. u will have the answer from the horse's mouth/
I would infopass and make sure everything is right. Its good to make sure everytihing is set right, to have peace of mind later, even if it takes to pay some money to an very good attorney (just in case your guys isnt very good)

My check has a temp address of NJ - After that my address changed 3 times ... I didn't even mention that address in G325 because i stayed there for 30 days temporarily ....
Am i screwed ? This thing is going beyond Limit now... They are NOT leaving any option other than settling to other countries like CANADA or Europe...

After considering your valuable suggestions, it only makes sense in waiting at this point, per my evaluation as well.
What are a few months in the game where I have waited this long ?
Just for the record, a major factor in this decision is that "I am not being abused by my current employer". (this is for someone in our situation who IS being abused or given a hard time by the employer)
If one wanted to, one can get out of a messy situation with the employer, thanks to AC21.

All,
Did not want to create any sensational news, but this is what I gathered from speaking to an IO. I had applied for my EAD on Jan 25th and havent received any updates. So, I called the NSC customer service and an IO informed me that I need to check back with them in another 60 days if no decision is made by that time. When I said that it would be 6 months by that time, the IO said that "that's right. Each IO has about 500 applications on their desk and it will take some time to clear these off"
Just wanted to update everyone so that all the June/July filers can file appropriately.
Again, mine could be an isolated case. So, please dont panic::))
6 months wait to get something that's valid for only a year? Wow!

Secondly, the time it would have taken to post your meaningless rant, you could have cast atleast 3 votes for the CNN Hero of your choice and not necessarily Narayanan Krishnan.
Thirdly, I support Narayanan Krishnanan over the others because - To cook, feed and take care of homeless, mentally ill and abdoned people every day, rain or shine, in addition to sacrificing your own aspirations and material pursuits, is a noble deed. When selfless supreme beings like Narayanan Krishnan do things are they are doing every day, my heart goes out to him.
